Meet Greg Leingang, Body Shop Painter

Greg Leingang is our Body Shop painter at Eide Ford Mandan. His very first technician job was at Eide Ford Lincoln, in 1981, and he worked there as a Body Shop technician and painter. He then moved to the current Eide Ford Mandan building in 1993 to be the Body Shop Manager, and then moved back to being the body shop painter, and has been here ever since. 2024 marks his 43rd year in the automotive industry.

“I have always liked cars, and tinkered with them from an early age,” says Greg. “My uncle was a body shop technician as well, and watching him and hearing his stories sparked my interest. I went to school at Bismarck State College, when it was called Bismarck Junior College, and as soon as I graduated I joined the Eide family, and am glad to be back and a part of the family.”

“I look forward to coming to work every day because each day brings new, ever changing challenges,” Greg says. “My mindset is always: “What do I get to make today?” and this is something I am extremely thankful for. This job is extremely fun, and I don’t think of it as a job. I get to make vehicles new again and nicer than before, and I love it.”

“Through my many years working in this industry, I have learned so many things, and I know I will learn so much more. In an industry that never stays the same, I like that each one of my jobs is different, and I get to figure out different problems every day.”

“Greg is an amazing leader within our body shop,” says Will Wight, Body Shop Manager at Eide Ford Mandan. “He is always happy to help work with and train new techs when they join our team, and will put in extra hours to ensure that customers' vehicles get done on time. His hard work and dedication does not go unnoticed, and we are very thankful for everything he does!”

In his free time, Greg likes to go camping, hiking, running, and biking.
